Google RCS on iOS

Got a question and would like get to know when in Orange will be available Google RCS on iOS 18.x and above.

It's in Polish but I think you can translate it and it's a confirmation of what I wrote - you have to wait.

Thanks for these hints. Maybe you know is there any chance to use RCS in some kind of port app or something to have it?

Unfortunately not, because this service doesn't depend only on the application itself but on the mobile operator's support of this service also.

In Poland, no mobile operator can currently work with RCS on iPhones.

You can use a workaround which I think will not satisfy you, but:

- on Android RCS works,

- you can use another messenger with e2e encryption,

- old ones compatible with all devices SMS 😉

At this moment, we have to wait for information about the availability of RCS, but we do not know at what stage the work is.

main problem is that some of my family and friends using only android devices with msgs by RCS while it works they are not going switch to comunicators

the other issue is that rate from poland to japan sms costs alot

I understand. Unfortunately, in this case, the solution is to make some concessions and find a common communication channel.

I hope that RCS will soon be available on iOS in Orange.

There are also other msg apps which work well on both OSes, like WhatsApp. My wife actually uses it on iOS to communicate with our Japanese friend.
